"Gunnar Lárus Hjálmarsson, better known by his stage name 'Dr. Gunni', is an Icelandic musician and media personality. One of the central figures of the Icelandic underground music scene, Dr. Gunni has been playing since 1979 (both solo and in groups). He is the author of the book 'Blue Eyed Pop - The History of Popular Music in Iceland.' Dr. Gunni has had his own shows on 'Rás 2' and other radio stations, as well as hosting 'Popppunkti' with Felix Bergsson."
