"Devilman is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Go Nagai. It focuses on a high school student named Akira Fudo, who absorbs the power of a legendary demon named Amon in order to battle other demons hidden in human society. Highly controversial at the time of its release, the manga still spawned numerous films, O.V.A.s, sequel manga/retellings, and novels [MUCH more than this upload! --S]. The original manga has sold 50 million copies worldwide. 'Shin Devilman' was the first sequel, set after Akira's final encounter with Sirene, but before the revelation that his best friend Ryo Asuka is the angel Satan (in amnesiac disguise). 'Devilman Lady' is a gender-swapped, sexually charged, and much lengthier retelling of the original manga. 'Sirene The Birth' tells a variant origin for Sirene, 'Demon Knight' tells the origin of Amon. 'Devilman Grimoire' is written by Nagai, but illustrated by Rui Takato. It is an original story blending elements from the classic story. 'Gekiman!' is an autobiography by Nagai in manga form, detailing the creation of the classic story. 'Devilman Saga' is Nagai's final retelling of the mythos overall."
