"Juventud Podrida (Spanish for 'Rotten Youth') is a Panamanian crust punk band formed in 2007, they are the first band of its genre in their country. The members are Rodolfo Alem•n (vocals), Jose Arosemena (guitar), Sean McNally (drums), and Joshua Rodin (bass). The band marked a milestone in the history of Panamanian punk for its 'eccentricity', they embrace the idea to work under the DIY ethics and to release their music on vinyl, in a country where doing that is considered a financial disaster for any music group.'1989' is the very first self-released punk record in Panama. It was recorded and engineered by David Colindres at 'Estudios Insomnio' in 2011 and released in 2012 by 'Lugica Ciega Records'. It was produced by David Colindres and Rodolfo Alem•n, the artwork was done by Jose Arosemena and Rodolfo Alem•n.
