Nurse With Wound - "Rock'n Roll Station" CD Original Press 1994 (FLAC)

                                                                                        cover layout is intentionally "dadaist"

'Rock 'n Roll Station' began when Steven Stapleton asked engineer Colin Potter to remix rhythmic elements from 'Colder Still', a track from Steven's previous album 'Thunder Perfect Mind'. As Colin warped those sections into separate (and even stranger) pieces, a new album began to emerge. Building on those heavily mutated beats and drones, the pair then added a massive array of bizarre, even unidentifiable sounds. Its strong focus on rhythm was surmised by some as an attempt to join the then rising EDM scene...but it was really Steven's obsession with the music of PĂ©rez Prado that was beating at the heart of 'Rock N’ Roll Station's heady rhythms.

Novokain - "Gorefest Stench" Mixtape 1998 (320)

SoCal slaughterror. One of the earliest mixtapes I picked up after discovering extreme techno the previous year. I once tortured my dad (who are we kidding, I ALWAYS tortured my dad) with this very tape while driving us to the airport to pick up my mother. The man had NUTS, he didn't cry...too much...
