Darkcore bombshell from "analog electronic" producer Oliver Chesler (who eventually returned to the project, dramatically morphing it's sound into tongue-in-cheek gothic wave)...

International P.E.A.C.E. Benefit Compilation 1984 (FLAC CD version 1997 With Booklet Scans)
"'The International P.E.A.C.E. Benefit Compilation' is a double album first released in 1984 by 'R Radical Records' (run by MDC's Dave Dictor) in association with San Francisco punk magazine 'Maximumrocknroll'. The 'P.E.A.C.E.' in the title is a backronym for 'Peace, Energy, Action, Cooperation, Evolution'. The records feature 55 political hardcore punk bands from around the world, 30 from outside the United States, with front and back cover paintings by San Francisco artist Dana F. Smith. Maximumrocknroll's contribution was assembling the magazine-sized insert, which included topics on nuclear disarmament, imperialism, radiation, pollution, and demonstrations. Those sections preceded individual pages given to the bands for lyrics, graphics, statements, and contact. All of the profits from the release were slated for various anti-nuclear groups and activities worldwide."
Zero Defex - Demos '82 & '83 (Tape Rips Not Reissues)
"Zero Defex was formed (late 1981) in Akron Ohio by Tom Seiler of 'The Bursting Brains', Mick Hurray of 'The Nelsons', Jim Friend of 'V-Nervz', and Brad Warner of 'Mmaxx'. After recording two demos and making two compilation appearances (one of which was the International P.E.A.C.E. Benefit double LP), the band broke up in the spring of 1983."
Wulpse Varkens - "Tot Ergernis Van Velen" 7" 1984 (With Hi-Res Scans)
Great Belgian feast of upbeat art-punk (and occasional 'core) with "Out Of Vogue" style vocals/reverb. SNAPPY!!!
Zeni Geva - "Maximum Money Monster" CD 1990 FLAC (Original Master/Single Track)
"Experimental guitarist/programmer KK Null formed Zeni Geva in 1987 with guitarist Fumiyoshi Suzuki, vocalist Elle, and drummer Ikuo Taketani from the bands 'The Boredoms' and 'Hanatarashi'. After releasing a live album titled 'How To Kill', Suzuki and Nishikawa left the group, so Null and Taketani brought in new guitarist Mitsuru Tabata (also of The Boredoms) for a studio recording called 'Maximum Love And Fuck'. Taketani stepped down from drums, so Tatsuya Yoshida of 'Ruins' replaced him. They then re-released 'Maximum Love And Fuck' as 'Maximum Money Monster' in 1990, adding three additional live tracks with Yoshida."
Oral - Demo '86
2nd demo from these scandicores, like a less Discharge Anti-Cimex or a less epic Armia (younger listeners may liken them to Tragedy), delivered with the same melodic anger that put Sweden on punk's napkin-map to begin with...
